Recycled Street Map Wallet - Canberra, Weston Creek, Woden Valley, Tuggeranong

Where are you heading? This wallet is made from the original pages of a New South Wales Cities and Towns state street directory - this 12th edition was printed in 1998. The pages have been covered in clear pvc, folded and stitched together to protect the paper.  A true limited edition and collectable!

This wallet features Canberra and its Southern Suburbs, covering Weston Creek, Woden Valley and Tuggeranong. The inside is lined with an index page of Canberra Streets and places of interest.

It is a great little accessory to use for cash, cards, travel documents, face masks, smaller sized smart phones, blister packs of medications or anything else you'd like to keep protected. It will be the perfect gift for someone who loves something unique or would love a reminder of their home town.

The size of the wallet is approximately 18.5 cm wide by 10 cm high. It closes with a magnetic clip.

Ultimately the paper will crease a little with wear, adding to its life story.

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
